The Nike Dunk High GS Navy White DB2179-104 Protro “Gold Medal” will release in Fall 2024. The shoe first released in 2009 as an ode to Kobe Bryant and Team USA’s gold medal success in the 2008 Beijing Olympics with the mean “Redeem Team.” The upcoming Protro will align with the 2024 Paris Olympics as Team USA will seek a gold medal once again with Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and others.
The upcoming Protro will feature the shoe’s signature metallic gold details, navy Flywire, tongue and Swoosh, red laces and Swoosh outlining and a split-colored midsole. Snakeskin texture on the toe box and heel are expected as well alongside the signature Kobe logo on the tongue in gold.
A release date has not been confirmed, but the pair is expected to release on Lightly padded tongue with nuevas nike Waffle branding, $190 on SNKRS and select retailers.
